Our new lucky charm – Rita!
Our new lucky charm – Rita
We started this week with a brand new lucky charm – little Rita!
Her story is painfully familiar – a homeless mommy gave birth to a few puppies in a village in Burgas region… Some kids dragged two of them who knows where, and this little one was abandoned in a deserted garden, without food or water, left to the mercy of fate…
Lynn Bailie was the person who contacted us and asked for our help. Having experience with homeless animals adopted from the streets, she refused to remain indifferent to this little lady’s unclear /or may be far too clear/ destiny.
For now Rita is in a foster home. She quickly made friends with her foster mommy’s dog and is even now acting dominant
The doggie is about 2 – 3 months old, the vets assume that may be one of her parents was a German shepherd.
We noticed she has bald spots on her neck, armpits and hind legs, but the exam in the clinic showed that this is caused by parasites and is nothing to worry about. But the blood count and biochemistry showed that Rita is anemic and has some problem with the liver. But fortunately, in a few weeks on medicines, her levels will normalize. We have to ask for Your help again! Our bill in the clinic keeps growing and signals for injured animals keeps coming and coming… We beg you, donate as much as you can, as much as you are willing to!
We are looking for home for Rita! Isn’t she Your lucky charm?
