And again
And again abandoned, and again a hunting dog, and again old, and again sick, and again with DIROFILARIA! We are so tired of running in this doomed circle; we are so much unable to stand our helplessness anymore; we have no more hearts left to suffer for those animals and be angry at another irresponsible owners! For the last few months we have been taking over tens of hunting dogs, found on deserted village roads or given up to us. Abandoned for different reasons – too spoilt, too good, too fearful, unable to learn commands, not looking like the breed they were bought for, grown old, got sick and so on, and so on. Tell us, people, till when we would be reaping the fruits of our responsible society… How much longer we need to appeal, organize campaigns, talk, write, educate in order to eradicate the root of the problem and not just treat its symptoms…
So far with our hourly thoughts, now let us introduce Brown to you…
Unlike many others found on deserted village roads, we found him on a mall parking lot. Thin, disorientated and sick. Brown is diagnosed with Dirofilaria.
Maybe his owner found out about the disease, who knows. Because even if Brown had done a good job for him so far, even after the expensive and risky treatment, he would no longer be fit for hunting. And also, our boy is not so young. Fortunately, thanks to you who responded to our appeals for urgent help for him, the money needed for Brown’s treatment is raised. He has been fighting with infection but he is now better and very soon he will get the first dosage of his Dirofilaria treatment. We hope everything will be ok, because it’s always risky with that terrible disease…
Brown is a very good and loyal dog. He’s confident and strong, but deeply orientated to the human he chooses for his; he doesn’t get along with cats. If you wish to provide a better future for him, you know how to find us.
Brown is now almost in the middle of his treatment. The boy went through a lot of antibiotics therapies because of his worsened indexes, but he’s stable now. He got a little allergic reaction after the first stage of Dirofilaria treatment, but everything is ok for now. Keep your fingers crossed for keeping going like this!
If you wish to adopt Brown, please contact us to fill our questionnaire form.
Each animal to be rehomed through our organization requires spaying/neutering if the animals for some reason were not spayed/neutered while they were under our care.
